Things I've learned:
- to choose my friends wisely
- to say "I love you"
- to mean it
- that honesty really is best - even if it's brutal, even if it hurts- because lies hurt more than the truth and do damage that cannot often be repaired
- to say "no"
- to say "yes"
- to say "please"
- that, contrary to the old adage, power - not money - makes the world go around
- that a girl really can have too much stuff
- that i'm much happier when i have fewer things in my life
- that i need to have fewer things in my life
- to trust my gut
- to know when to say "enough is enough"
- to actually say "enough is enough"
- to move on
- to be better for it instead of in spite of it
